Bon Jovi Charges Down The 'Highway' On New CD

Bon Jovi will release its next album, "Lost Highway," June 19 via Island/Mercury Nashville. First single "(You Want To) Make a Memory" hits radio tomorrow (March 20); the group will perform it live April 16 during the CMT Awards in Nashville, May 2 on "American Idol" and June 19 on NBC's "Today."

Two other album cuts have already been utilized in TV and film; the title song is featured in the trailer for the John Travolta comedy "Wild Hogs," while "We Got It Going" featuring Big & Rich serves as the theme for ESPN's coverage of the Arena Football League.

The Dann Huff- and John Shanks-produced "Lost Highway" is the follow-up to 2005's "Have a Nice Day," which has sold 1.4 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The album's single, "Who Says You Can't Go Home" featuring Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland, hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart, the first time in almost 30 years that a top billed non-country artist has reached No. 1 with their first attempt at the country chart. It hadn't happened since pop crooner Tom Jones did so with "Say You'll Stay Until Tomorrow" in 1977.

Bon Jovi has yet to announce tour plans; the group finished 2006 with the No. 3 tour according to Billboard Boxscore, grossing $131 million.

Bon Jovi will soon take a trip down the "Lost Highway." The band are set to release their ninth album, a follow up to 2005's "Have A Nice Day," on June 19.

The album is being produced by Dan Huff who has collaborated with Keith Urban and Rascal Flatts in the past.

Prior to its release date, the band will make several television appearances, including the CMT Awards on April 16 and "American Idol" on May 2.

Their first single, "(You Want To) Make A Memory," will hit radio stations on Tuesday, March 20.

Bon Jovi are also set to be one of the performers at this year's much anticipated Live Earth concert event on July 7. Other artists joining the band in spreading awareness to global warming include Spanish rock sensation Mana and rapper Pharrell.

In 2006, lead singer Jon Bon Jovi became the first ambassador to Habitat for Humanity.

Bon Jovi - (You Want To) Make a Memory Lyrics - Lost Highway

Bon Jovi - (You Want To) Make a Memory Lyrics - Lost Highway

Hello again, it's you and me
Kinda always like it used to be
Sippin' wine, killing time
Trying to solve life's mysteries

How's your life, it's been awhile?
God it's good to see you smile
I see you reaching for your keys
Looking for a reason not to leave

Chorus
If you don't know if you should stay
If you don't say what's on your mind
Baby just breathe
there's nowhere else tonight we should be

You wanna make a memory?

I dug up this old photograph,

look at all that hair we had.
It's bittersweet to hear you laugh
your phone is ringing I don't wanna ask

If you go now, I'll understand.
If you stay, Hey I've got a plan.
We're gonna make a memory.
You wanna steal a piece of time?
You can sing the melody to me
And I can write a couple of lines

You wanna make a memory?

(Chorus)

You wanna make a memory?
You wanna steal a piece of time?
You can sing the melody to me
And I can write a couple of lines

Bon Jovi set to ride Lost Highway

Bon Jovi (music) is set to release its ninth album of original material, "Lost Highway," June 19 and the set's first single, "(You Want to) Make a Memory," hits radio tomorrow (3/20).

Tour plans to support the new record have yet to be announced, but at least one date is on the books: the July 7 star-studded Live Earth concert, a 24-hour event that will stretch across all seven continents to bring attention to the climate crisis.

Meanwhile, Bon Jovi will start promotional appearances next month, performing April 16 at the CMT Awards in Nashville, May 2 on Fox's "American Idol" and June 19 on NBC's "Today Show."

The title track from "Lost Highway" can be heard in the film "Wild Hogs" and the tune "We Got it Going On"- a duet with Big & Rich (music) - is the theme song for the new Arena Football League season on ESPN.

The forthcoming set, produced by Dan Huff (Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts) and John Shanks (Sheryl Crow, Melissa Etheridge), apparently continues Bon Jovi's country-music leanings, which started with 2005's "Have a Nice Day." That record spawned a Grammy-winning collaboration with Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles, "Who Says You Can't Go Home," which hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart. It marked the first time in almost 30 years that a top-billed non-country artist snagged the No. 1 spot with their first attempt at the country chart, according to Billboard.

"Who Says You Can't Go Home" and the title track from "Have a Nice Day" are streaming at Bon Jovi's MySpace page.

The rock band, which has been around for 20-plus years, has sold more than 100 millions albums and performed upwards of 2,500 concerts in more than 50 countries, according to a press release.

Bon Jovi Hit the Lost Highway

Former eighties hair band Bon Jovi is getting set to release their next album entitled Lost Highway this summer.

After wrapping up the tour for their last album Have a Nice Day the boys of Bon Jovi head back into the studio to record the upcoming album due to hit stores on June 19.

Prior to that the band will release their first single "(You Want to) Make a Memory" which is set to hit radio stations today (March 20). Though the song is their first single you might have heard some of their new tunes already like the title track "Lost Highway" on the soundtrack to the movie Wild Hogs or the song "We've Got It Goin' On", a duet with country duo Big & Rich as the theme song for the new arena football league season on ESPN.

Though no tour has been announced as of yet the band will make appearances on the CMT Awards and American Idol this spring and then perform at the Live Earth concerts on July 7.

Bon Jovi Presents "Lost Highway" Album

Two years have passed since the success of Bon Jovi's "Have a Nice Day" (2005). For what has become a tradition, the new album "Lost Highway" will invite questions whether it will reprise the platinum trademark.

Following the success of country piece "Who Says You Can't Go Home" from the album "Have a Nice Day", the band is back with a thicker country vibe in the new album. The band was seen recording at country singer Reba McEntire's studio. First single "(You Want To) Make a Memory" was out in the radios on March 20 and will be performed live in CMT Awards on April 16, American Idol on May 2, and "Today" on June 19.

The album that is produced by The Dann Huff and John Shanks also contains two utilized pieces. The movie "Wild Hogs" features the title song in the trailer and ESPN's Arena Football League uses the track "We Got It Going" as its theme song.

No tour plan to support this album has been announced yet. The tenth studio album will hit the stores on June 19 via Island/Mercury Nashville.

Artist Description for Bon Jovi

Bon Jovi is a Rock band from New Jersey. Following the release of their first single, Runaway, in 1983 and their self titled debut album in 1984, they quickly earned the attention and respect of music lovers across the world with their catchy melodies, impressive musical scores and unbelievable live performances.

They have since sold more than 100 million albums worldwide, played live to hundreds of thousands of fans over 8 world tours and across 2 decades, won an impressive collection of awards and produced 9 studio albums, 4 compilation/live albums and various solo albums and DVDs.

Bon Jovi has sometimes been classified as Hair Metal - sometimes even regarded as the form's prime shapers - but have proved much more durable than most groups so labelled. It has been a band which inspired many of today's bands, spending years perfecting a style of timeless rock and also inspiring and initiated the popular "Unplugged" series of MTV programs.

Bon Jovi comprises the following members:

John Francis Bongiovi - Lead vocals, backing vocals, guitar
Richard Stephen Sambora - Lead guitar, backing vocals
Hector Tico Torres - Drums
David Bryan Rashbaum - Keyboards , backing vocals
Hugh McDonald - bass guitar (although not classed as an 'official' member, Hugh has played bass on all Bon Jovi's later albums starting with "These Days". The band members say they agreed never to officially replace Alec.)

Alec John Such - former bass guitar

In 2006, they became the first rock band to have a #1 country song with "Who Says You Can't Go Home".

Bon Jovi and Sambora continued to write new material, in country-style, for another album following the world wide success of Have a Nice Day. The new album has the title Lost Highway and the release-date is set worldwide on June 19th 2007. The first single from the album is "(You Want To) Make A Memory".
